What is the Wellness Network?
Connecting people through self-directed exploration to enhance and maintain optimal wellness.
The Wellness Network is a group of community partners who will be working together to provide individuals or families with as many options as we can to help achieve wellness. Anyone struggling with addiction and/or mental health concerns will be able to make a choice about what option might work best for them. Everything that is offered through the wellness network will be focused on recovery which means that individuals will feel welcomed, be encouraged to use their strengths, and take personal responsibility. As support and education are received it is expected that individuals will feel hopeful and take the steps needed to have a meaningful and fulfilling life. The main aspect of recovery is that the individual is in the “driver’s seat” and making the decisions that are best for them.
The wellness dimensions are organized into 7 wellness categories: emotional, physical, spiritual, career and academic, social and cultural, and environmental. When a category is chosen there will be options such as:
- Where can I learn more?
- What can I do?
- What is available within my community?
The Wellness Network options will change to meet the needs of the people who use it.
