Description

This training course is packed with handout and pair up exercises, which require active participation from clients and a lot of writing/ talking. 

  •  Managing Anxiety and Depression in the Workplace
  •  Workplace Stereotypes and Discrimination – The session explores the difference between stereotypes and discrimination, its impact to a person’s identity, and ways to proactively overcome these. Positive and negative stereotypes, and the different types of discrimination will also be discussed.
  • Identity, Power, and Privilege –  This session examines how identity, power, and privilege are all interconnected.  It encourages a greater understanding of how an individual interacts with their own dimensions of power and privilege are rooted in their identities, and how this impacts our call for equity
  •  Adapting to a Virtual World
  •  Job Search Strategies

  • Rights and Responsibilities

 

  •  Conflict Resolution – This course will cover the different levels of and approaches to conflict. Participants will learn appropriate communication techniques towards preventing and resolving conflicts.
  • Effective Communication We will discuss advantages and disadvantages of good and poor communication, respectively. Participants will learn active listening/speaking skills.
