Description

Over a period of 10 weekly group sessions, learners will learn proven recovery practices and supportive tools, to help them progress on their recovery journey. Learners will learn how to accelerate recovery utilizing self-care, hope and purpose, and control and connection.

Week #1:
• Introductions
• What is Recovery?
• How to know you are progressing

Week #2:
• What people are recovering from
• Despair as a doorway to hope

Week #3:
• Maximizing treatment benefits
• More than your diagnosis
• Unhelpful Thinking Styles

Week #4:
• Combating negative self-talk
• Catching unhelpful thinking styles

Week #5:
• Using the balanced thought method
• Monitoring thoughts, activity and mood

Week #6:
• Good Days and Bad Days
• Purpose, Control & Connection

Week #7:
• Anxiety – causes and solutions
• Tools to reduce worry

Week #8:
• Creating the Life You Want
• Setting Meaningful Goals

Week #9:
• Action Planning to achieve goals
• Skills and support systems for recovery

Week #10:
• Review of practices covered
• Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) (Brief Overview)
• Graduation & feedback
